We are Ken and Jane, founders of NautiCheckAI. With over 20 years of experience each in frontline roles for the Queensland Government, we have dedicated our careers to serving the community, and saw an opportunity to bring our professional experience together with our lifelong connection to the water.

Both born and raised in South East Queensland, our lives have always been shaped by the sea and Queensland’s coastal lifestyle.

Ken’s family has deep generational ties to the water – from childhood memories of helping his dad craft simple tools to retrieve anchors and untangle lines beneath the hull, to a proud history of racing sailboats, including his grandfather’s multiple wins in the iconic Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.

Jane’s grandfather joined the Merchant Navy at just 14, rising to the rank of first mate. In his later years, he served as navigating officer aboard lighthouse supply ships along the Queensland coast, charting reefs and islands — one of which now carries his name.

NautiCheckAI was born from our desire to give boat and pontoon owners a safer, smarter way to monitor what’s happening below the surface. For us, this is more than a business. It is a way to support our community while building something lasting for our children, combining the advanced technology of their generation with our lifelong connection to the water.
