Frequently Asked Questions
What services does NautiCheck AI provide?▾
We provide professional underwater drone inspections for boat hulls and running gear, pontoons and jetties, marinas and other waterfront structures, mooring chains and anchor systems, storm damage and insurance documentation, and lost item location and recovery. Our technology can be used anywhere underwater you need something inspected, recorded, or documented, and we can tailor services to specific requirements.
Why use an underwater drone instead of a diver?▾
It’s safer (no divers in hazardous waters), faster (rapid deployment with minimal disruption), more cost-effective than traditional diver inspections, and delivers detailed results with HD video, photos, and AI-assisted analysis for accurate condition reporting.
Where do you operate?▾
We service Greater Brisbane, Redlands, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast, including canal estates, private marinas, and waterfront properties.
Do I need to be on site during the inspection?▾
Not necessarily. You are welcome to attend in person, but many clients prefer remote delivery. We provide a full inspection report with images and video footage, along with easy-to-understand findings.
How do I book an inspection?▾
You can book online through our website, by email, or by phone. Choose your preferred service and time, and we will confirm the details with you.
When will I receive my report?▾
Inspection reports are typically delivered within 24–48 hours, and urgent requests can often be prioritised.
Is the footage mine to keep?▾
Yes. All footage and reports are provided for your records and can be used for maintenance planning, resale documentation, or insurance purposes.
Do you recover lost items?▾
Yes. Our drones can be fitted with retrieval tools to help locate and recover dropped items such as phones, tools, fishing gear, or mooring equipment, where conditions allow.
Is your service insured?▾
Absolutely. We carry full public liability insurance and operate under strict safety and privacy protocols.
What if the water is dirty or visibility is poor?▾
Our drones use powerful lighting and stabilised 4K cameras. While extreme turbidity can limit visibility, we will advise on conditions beforehand and do our best to capture clear, usable footage.
Do you check for compliance with anti-fouling regulations?▾
We do not provide formal compliance or technical advice. However, our inspections give a clear indication of the condition and coverage of your anti-fouling paint to help you identify when maintenance may be required.
Can marinas or body corporates use your services?▾
Yes. We provide bulk inspection services for marinas, canal estates, and waterfront communities—ideal for regular maintenance checks, post-storm assessments, and insurance documentation.
What payment options are available?▾
We accept credit card, debit card, and bank transfer. Business clients can request invoicing with payment terms.
Do you offer scheduled maintenance plans?▾
Yes. Many clients choose quarterly or annual inspections to monitor hull condition and prevent costly surprises. We offer discounted rates for ongoing service plans.
